Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m).

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Amazing Himalaya Trekking will meet you and take you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing and preparation for trekking permit.

Before starting our adventurous trek to Manaslu Circuit, we will be visiting prominent sites around Kathmandu Valley. Today, you will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa. All the sites are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and hold cultural and historical significance.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the popular tourist sites in Kathmandu, also known as Bastanpur or Hanuman Dhoka. It is divided into two courtyards: the outer courtyard houses Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and the Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section comprises Hanuman Dhoka and the primary palace. Several floors have been transformed into museums honoring three generations of Nepal’s Shah kings.

Heading to our next stop, Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as Monkey Temple. It is perched on a hilltop from the top; Swayambhunath offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Swayambhunath holds a special place in both Hinduism and Buddhism, surrounded by monasteries.

Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located approximately 5 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu in the eastern part of the Kathmandu Valley. The primary temple stands tall in a pagoda style, decorated with detailed carvings and ornamentation. Around it, you’ll find smaller shrines, ashrams, and steps leading to the Bagmati River, where worshippers carry out their rituals.

Boudnatha Stupa is one of the famous sites around 11 kilometers away from the city. The Boudhanath area has a spiritual vibe, with Tibetan chanting and mantras. Strolling around the Boudhanath stupa is a different kind of experience.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (880m) Through Arughat.

After breakfast, drive through an impressive mountain landscape, past peaceful villages, to Arughat (170 km). If visibility is good, you can enjoy the views of the mountains, Manaslu, and Annapurna massifs during the approximately 8-hour journey.

After Arughat, your journey leads slightly uphill to the box seat near the village of Almara. A constant up and down, a good 100 meters above the river, leads to the Machha Khola, a tributary of the Budhi Gandaki River. Then, reach your destination, Machha Khola. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 04: Machha Khola – Jagat (1350m),6-7 hours.

Your trekking tour starts from Machha Khola, leading to Seti Khola today. Today’s trek involves ups and downs, with the reward of hot springs in Tatopani. Move to the eastern side of the river for spectacular views and paths partly carved into the rock. The journey to Jagat takes around 6 to 7 hours. Before the valley widens, it narrows dramatically, causing the river to run wild. Enjoy the contrast of this spectacular landscape. Overnight stay at the Trekkers Lodge.

Day 05: Jagat – Deng (1860m),5-6 hours.

Today will be an easy day for us as the trek is short in terms of distance, but it promises beautiful views of the surroundings. The path involves a slight uphill climb, and then it branches off onto a level path. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River, we reach Philim, a large settlement in the hills, mainly inhabited by the Gurung community. The Gurung community is renowned for their martial traditions and bravery, particularly in military service, notably in the Gurkhas of the British Army.

We’ll have time to explore the village, soak in the sights of daily life, and experience their unique way of life. Later, Deng, one of the tiniest villages along our trail, will beckon us to discover its charm. Tonight, we’ll rest at the Trekkers Lodge.

Day 06: Deng – Namrung (2640m),5-6 hours.

Today, the trek takes us over steep, grassy slopes to the village of Ngyak, a hidden gem that was off-limits to tourists for many years. As we make our way, the Buri Gandaki River roars beneath us, slicing through the valley with its narrow, powerful currents, surrounded by towering rock walls.

We’ll cross back to the western side of the valley and continue our journey until we reach Namrung. Tonight, we’ll unwind at the cozy Trekkers Lodge.

The river has sculpted the rocks into stunning natural formations that are sure to catch your eye. Tonight, we’ll rest at the Trekkers Lodge, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the mountains.

After a rewarding day of trekking, we’ll rest for the night at the Trekkers Lodge.

Day 11: Dharamsala – Larkya Pass (5135m)– Bhimathang (3750m), 9-10 hours.

On the eleventh day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, the adventure takes us over the Larka Pass, so we’ll start early. The five-hour ascent begins with a gentle climb, but soon, the trail steepens, leading us over scree and snow. As we descend, we’re treated to breathtaking panoramic views of towering peaks ranging from six to eight thousand meters.

The path winds through moraines and steeper terrain, guiding us into the valley of the “Milk River” towards Bhimathang. Along the way, we’ll take a break at the serene Lake Pokar before reaching our camp nestled in a stunning glacial cirque. Tonight, we’ll relax at the Trekkers Lodge, surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.
