Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m).

After flying over the peaks of the Himalayas, you will land at Tribhuvan International Airport. Upon arrival, our Airport representative will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in to the hotel, freshening up, and enjoying free time, you can explore Kathmandu or rest at the hotel. Overnight rest in the hotel

Day 2: Full-day Sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Today, we will do a full-day sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu valley. We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa. All the sites we visit today are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are famous tourist destinations.

Kathmandu Durbar Squares are a conglomerate of ancient courtyards, palaces, and temples that give glimpses of the life of the royals in ancient Nepal. It is also known as Basantapur. The highlight of Kathmandu Durbar Square is Kumari Ghar(home to the living goddess), Kal Bhairav temple, the stunning temple of goddess Taleju Bhawani.

Another site we will visit is the Pashupatinath temple, which is one of the most important sites of pilgrimage for all Hindus and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located on the bank of the Bagmati River, and devotees around the world visit here to offer their prayers.

Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is on top of a hill and has historical significance associated with the foundation of Kathmandu Valley. From the top of Swayambhunath, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the valley.

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Stupas in the world. Strolling around the stupa, you will feel a spiritual vibe, with Buddhist monks chanting.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, 6-7 hours.

After breakfast, we will drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km). We will drive through an impressive mountain landscape, past peaceful villages, to Pokhara. The city is located directly on Fewa Lake, and we have a wonderful view of the immediate and close-up mountain panorama of the Annapurna massif. From here, numerous hiking trails begin in the Annapurna area. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 4: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m), 4-5 hours trek.

After breakfast, we will head towards Phedi, which is ½ hour’s drive from Pokhara. From Phedi, we will officially start our trekking towards Deurali. We will hike through stoned gullies, terraced farms, jungles, and forests. Enjoy a peaceful trek towards the first stop. Our first stop is Dhampus, we will hike towards Deurali from Dhampus. Located on the ridge, Deaurali is a beautiful village from which one can see a magnificent view of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal, and Macchhapuchhare. Overnight in Deurali.

Day 5: Deurali to Forest Camp (2,520m), 6-7 hours.

Today, we will hike Deurali to Forest Camp, which will take 6 to 7 hours. We will ascend to Forest Camp through a lush forest adorned with florid rhododendron plants. Rhododendron flowers, which are also the national flower of Nepal, add vibrant splashes of color to our path. Along the way, we will be serenaded by the chirping of rare bird species from every corner of the jungle.
Upon reaching Forest Camp, we will take some time to rest and rejuvenate. Later in the evening, we will explore the local popular tourist destination known as Khokar. After an enriching day of nature and exploration, we will spend the night at Forest Camp

Day 6: Forest Camp to High Camp (3540m), 5-6 hours.

On day 6 of our Mardi Himal trek, we will ascend gradually to High Camp. Along the way, we will pass through a lush forest, captivated by the rich natural diversity surrounding us. The journey will lead us through vibrant greenery and diverse flora until we reach Low Camp. From there, we can witness a close view of the majestic Mt. Fishtail (Macchapuchhre).

After enjoying lunch, we will ascend to a higher altitude and witness nature unfolding before us. As we climb, the vegetation becomes less dense, revealing different species of plants and animals. One such rare species is the Daphne, the national bird of Nepal. Our trek will continue alongside a ridge, offering stunning views until we reach High Camp. We will spend the night at High Camp.

Day 7: High camp to upper viewpoint & Back (4250m) Lower Camp, 3-4 hours.

Today, we will ascend to the upper viewpoint, where we can experience the mesmerizing mastiffs, also known as the Himalayan Vista. This breathtaking panorama includes Mardi Himal (5587m), Baraha Shikhar (Mt. Fang) (7647m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Tent Peak (5695m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Singhachuli (6501m), Machapuchhre (6993m), and many more.

After soaking in the stunning views of the Himalayas, we will descend back to Low Camp through pastures and along a steep, narrow ridge. We will spend the night at Low Camp.

Day 8: Trek from Lower Camp to Sidhing Village (1700m), 6-7 hours.

Take a different route today to experience the beautiful Sidhing Village, one of the popular destinations for the trekkers on this route. The journey will take approximately 6 to 7 hours, offering a unique cultural experience distinct from the higher altitude regions. Sidhing Village is an ideal place to relax and unwind after the challenging trek up the mountains. We will spend the night in Sidhing.

Day 9: Drive back to Pokhara, 2-3 hours.

Today, after enjoying a trek at Mardi Himal, we will drive back to Pokhara. After an early morning breakfast, the drive will take around 2 to 3 hours to reach Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, check in to the hotel. In your free time, you can stroll around the lakeside and enjoy the nightlife of Pokhara. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan, 4 hours.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel around 08.00 am. We will be driving to Chitwan. You will drive towards the southeast of Pokhara on the Pokhara—Kathmandu highway. If the weather is clear, you can see the beautiful Himalayan range again, including famous mountains like Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu, and Annapurna, on the way to Chitwan.

As you reach Chitwan, we check into the respective hotel/resort, get some rest, and have Lunch afterward. After lunch, you will participate in Jungle activities to get ready to encounter.

Day 11: Adventurous Activities in Chitwan National Park

Today, you will have a full day of adventurous and thrilling activities, such as an Elephant back safari, Canoe ride, village tour, jungle walk with bird watching, and a show of Tharu cultural dance with bonfire at the end of the day.

Start your day with an elephant back safari, where you’ll ride through the dense forests and grasslands of Chitwan National Park. Get ready to come across rhinos, tigers, and other exotic wildlife. After a thrilling elephant ride, get ready for a canoe in Rapti River, spotting crocodiles and a variety of birds along the way. An experienced guide will be with you throughout the journey.

After a hearty lunch, embark on a guided jungle walk, perfect for bird watching and experiencing the rich biodiversity of the Chitwan National Park. As the sun sets, the day winds down with a captivating Tharu cultural dance performance around a bonfire, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. Day 12: Drive back from Chitwan to Kathmandu, 5 hours.

After getting involved in enriching activities in Chitwan, we will head back to Kathmandu. The drive from Chiwna to Kathmandu takes around 5 hours. Once you reach Kathmandu, check in to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy free time. You can stroll around Thamel and enjoy the nightlife there. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Half-day sightseeing In Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we will go on a half-day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, the most beautiful city in the Kathmandu valley. UNESCO has listed Bhaktapur as a World Heritage site and is renowned for its stunning architecture and cultural heritage. In Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you can explore the ancient palaces, courtyards, and temples that make up this historic square. The intricate wood carvings and stone artworks reflect the city’s rich history. Visit the pottery market, admire the famous Peacock Window, an exquisite example of traditional Newar woodcraft, and not to forget the five-story Nyatapola Temple, Nepal’s tallest pagoda, known for its architectural beauty and historical significance.

After immersing ourselves in the vibrant vibe of Bhaktapur, we will return to Kathmandu. You can rest in the hotel, indulge in some shopping, or take a leisurely stroll around the vibrant neighborhood of Thamel. Return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Kathmandu, as today will be your last night in Nepal. Reflect on the day’s cultural experiences and prepare for the next leg of your journey.

Day 14: Final departure.

Our 14-day Mardi Himal Trek With Chitwan National Park has finally ended. Depending on your flight time, we will transfer you to the airport.
