Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative from Amazing Himalaya Trekking will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu and Preparation of Trekking Permit:

Before starting our trek to Khopra Ridge, we will begin the tour by visiting prominent sites around Kathmandu Valley. Today, you will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Boudhanath Stupa. All the sites are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and hold cultural and historical significance.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the popular tourist sites in Kathmandu, also known as Bastanpur or Hanuman Dhoka. It is divided into two courtyards: the outer courtyard houses Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and the Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section comprises Hanuman Dhoka and the primary palace. Several floors have been transformed into museums honoring three generations of Nepal’s Shah kings.

Heading to our next stop, Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as Monkey Temple. It is perched on a hilltop from the top; Swayambhunath offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Swayambhunath holds a special place in both Hinduism and Buddhism, surrounded by monasteries. Explore its rich history, soak in the spiritual atmosphere, and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Boudnatha Stupa is one of the famous sites around 11 kilometers away from the city. You will find a spiritual vibe around the Boudhanath area with Tibetan chanting and mantras. Strolling around the Boudhanath stupa is a different kind of experience. Around the stupa, there are many handicrafts and souvenir shops, and you can get something to take back home. Enjoy a serene view of the stupa sitting on the rooftop cafe of Boudhanath.

In the afternoon, visit the most beautiful royal city of Bhaktapur, including Durbar Square, the pottery market, the famous Peacock Window, and the five-story Nyatapola, the highest pagoda in Nepal.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara:

After breakfast, drive through an impressive mountain landscape and peaceful villages to Pokhara (200 km). The city is located directly on Lake Fewa, offering a fantastic view of the Annapurna massif. Numerous hiking routes into the Annapurna area begin from here. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Upon arrival in Nayapul, we proceed with the check-in for the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permits before continuing our drive to Ghandruk.

Ghandruk, a charming traditional Gurung village, awaits our exploration. After a brief tour of the village and a satisfying lunch, our trek to Tadapani commences. The initial segment of the Khopra Ridge Trek in the Annapurna region winds through lush forests, offering splendid vistas of Annapurna South, Machapuchare, and Hiunchuli.

The ascent towards Tadapani is steep and may take 4-5 hours, depending on your fitness.

Over the next few hours, we navigate a series of ascents and descents along the ridge, with glimpses of the world’s deepest valley, Kaligandaki, nestled between Mt. Tukuche and Mt. Nilgiri.

The trail leads us through open fields surrounded by barren mountains, indicating the proximity of Khayer Lake. A small teahouse provides a restful spot for lunch.

The ascent continues with steps leading up to Khayer Lake, marked by symbolic temples and bells narrating mythological stories of the area. As the lake comes into view, the majestic Annapurna South stands proudly before you. Descending from Khayer Lake to Khopra Ridge, a journey of about 3.5 hours, we are treated to breathtaking views at every step, making the descent a memorable experience. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 09: Khopra Ridge - Swanta Village (4660m)

Our day begins with a hearty breakfast and tea/coffee, preparing us for a relatively easier hike. The trail descends for most of the way to Swanta Village, covering approximately 10 kilometers.

Day 10: Swanta Village – Ghorepani (2870m)

We begin our day by trekking through flat terrain, passing terrace fields, and crossing a river via a suspension bridge. The journey continues with a steady 6-hour uphill climb through dense rhododendron forests, leading us to Ghorepani. The effort is well worth it, as Ghorepani offers stunning views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna range. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we settle in for the night in Ghorepani, ready for more adventures ahead.
