It is around 3.5 km away from Bhaktapur and will take around 15 to 20 minutes to drive. Changu Narayan Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples, located on the hilltop and believed to be in the 4th Century AD.

The temple has traditional Nepali Architecture and is surrounded by beautiful sculptures and art related to Lord Bishnu. It has four entrances, each guarded by impressive life-size pairs of animals, including lions, mythical sarabhas, griffins, and elephants, standing proudly on either side. The wooden struts supporting the roof are beautifully carved with the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, along with other intricate idols, showcasing incredible craftsmanship.
