Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m):

Upon arrival, a representative from Amazing Himalaya will receive you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu and Preparation of Trekking Permit:

Before our trek to Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu begins, there will be a full-day sightseeing program around Kathmandu Valley by visiting prominent tourist destinations. While you are exploring Kathmandu, our team will ensure you have all the necessary permits for your trek,

Swayambhunath: Start your day with a visit to this ancient Buddhist stupa perched on a hilltop. From this iconic site, known for its vibrant stupas and lively monkeys, enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Dive into the heart of Kathmandu’s historical and cultural richness. Explore the bustling square surrounded by ancient palaces, temples, and intricate sculptures. Marvel at the architectural grandeur of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Patan (Lalitpur): This historic city is renowned for its well-preserved architecture and rich Buddhist heritage. Wander through Patan Durbar Square, where you’ll find a wealth of temples, including the ornate Krishna Temple and the shimmering Golden Temple.

Overnight Stay in Kathmandu: After a day filled with cultural exploration and permit arrangements, return to your accommodation and relax.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi.

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive through an impressive mountain landscape, passing tranquil villages, toward our destination, Syabru Besi (a distance of 150 km). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a wonderful view of the immediate and up-close mountain panoramas. Your overnight stay is arranged in Syabru Besi.

Day 04: Syabru Besi – Lama Hotel (2420m) 6 hours.

After breakfast, we start our trek from Syabrubesi, following the Langtang Khola. The trail meanders through oak and rhododendron forests, with a mix of uphill and downhill stretches. After crossing a charming bridge over the Langtang Khola, we reach the Lama Hotel. We’ll settle in for the night at the Trekkers Lodge.

Day 05: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village. (3430m )6 hours.

Post breakfast, our trek from Lama Hotel along the Langtang Khola takes us through oak and rhododendron forests and across a bridge over the Langtang Khola. We ascend a steep path leading to Ghora Tabela. Upon reaching the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela, the white peaks of the Langtang Mountains come into view.

Continuing our trek, we enjoy the mountain landscape with numerous waterfalls on the way. The path winds through the widening valley, passing temporary settlements used by shepherds. Before reaching Langtang village, which was affected by the April 2015 earthquake, we passed a Buddhist monastery. Overnight stay at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 06: Langtang Village – Kyangjing Gompa (3,870m) 3-4 hours.

Today is the sixth day of our Langtang Gosaikunda Helambhu Trek. After breakfast, we will head toward our next destination, Khyangiing Gompa, the main monastery of the region. The hike from Langtang Village to Kyangjing Gompa will take three to four hours.

The route is adorned with traditional features such as water mills, prayer wheels, and chortens. You’ll also encounter the largest Mani wall in Nepal, a massive stone structure carved with intricate inscriptions. These elements add a rich cultural and spiritual dimension to your trek.

After a short hike, the rest of the afternoon is spent exploring the Buddhist shrine at Kyangjin Gompa and the surrounding areas with stunning mountain views. In the afternoon, hike to Kyanjin Ri (4350m) for a panoramic view of Langtang Lirung, Langtang, Kinshung, and Yansa Tsenji. Overnight stay in Kyangjin Gompa.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day

Today is an acclimatization day; for those interested, an excursion to Tsergo Ri (4984m) will be provided. After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day excursion to Tesero Ri, equipped with a packed lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa - Ghdaa Tabela. (2950m),5-6 hours.

After a day of acclimatization, we will continue our trek to Ghoda Tabela. The trail gently descends through lush forests, weaving through charming Tamang villages. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, often missed during the ascent. The serene surroundings provide a peaceful break from the hustle of the trail. As we reach Ghoda Tabela, we’ll settle in for the night, surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains.

Day 09: Ghoda Tabela to - Thulo Syabru (2260m) 5-6 hours.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, our path gently ascends to Thulo Syabru. The village, adorned with Sherpa and Tamang settlements, provides a wonderful view of Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal. Overnight stay in Thulo Syabru.

Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3330m),4-5 hours.

The trail climbs to Dimsa village, passing through Durdagang and Foprang Danda, which offer mesmerizing Himalayan views. Then, it reaches Shin Gompa, known for a local cheese factory and a Buddhist monastery. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 11: Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake (4460m) , 6-7 hours..

After breakfast, we’ll begin our trek to Chalang Pati, climbing steeply while taking in the breathtaking views along the way. The trail winds through peaceful forests of rhododendrons and pine trees, creating a serene atmosphere as we hike higher. Eventually, we’ll arrive at the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding peaks. We’ll spend the night at a cozy Trekkers Lodge, resting and enjoying the magical ambiance of this high-altitude haven.

Day 12: Gosaikunda to Gopte (3440m),6-7 hours.

We’ll start the morning with a peaceful walk around Gosaikunda Lake, soaking in its calm beauty before the real adventure begins. A steep climb takes us across rugged moraines to the Lauri Bina Pass at 4,609 meters, where the views will leave you speechless. After catching our breath, we’ll begin the descent to Phedi, navigating rocky hills and making our way through quiet pine forests. As the day winds down, we’ll reach the small, remote village of Gopte, where a well-earned rest awaits us.

Day 13: Gopte to Tharepati (3640m),5-6 hours.

On day thirteen of the Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu Trek, we’ll set out in the morning, descending from Gopte as the trail takes us through a series of ups and downs. The path weaves through peaceful landscapes, with quiet moments in the forest and a few challenging climbs. As we near the end of the day, we’ll make our final ascent to Tharepati, a cozy stop nestled in the mountains. We’ll settle into a lodge for the night, surrounded by fresh mountain air and stunning views

Day 14: Tharepati to Gul Bhanjyang (2140m),5 hours.

Our trek continues through the serene forest paths of Shivapuri National Park, where we’ll be surrounded by vibrant vegetation and may even spot some wildlife along the way. The trail descends through lush green hills, offering peaceful views of the countryside. As we reach Gul Bhanjyang, a charming village nestled in the hills, you’ll be greeted by its warm, picturesque beauty. We’ll spend the night at a cozy Trekkers Lodge, relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere of this beautiful village.

Day 15: Gul Bhanjyang to Chisapani and drive to Kathmandu 5 hours hike & 2.5 hours drive.

Our final trekking day starts with a peaceful 5-hour hike through the green, rolling hills, passing by the quiet villages of Thodang Betini and Chipling. The trail is filled with the sounds of nature, a perfect way to wrap up our adventure. When we reach Chisapani, our jeep will be ready to take us on a scenic 2.5-hour drive back to the buzz of Kathmandu. Once back in the city, we’ll relax for the night, taking a moment to soak in the memories of this incredible trek.

Day 16: Final Departure.

After 16 unforgettable days of trekking through the stunning landscapes of Langtang, Gosaikunda, and Helambu, our adventure has finally come to an end.
