Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m).

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Amazing Himalaya Trekking will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight rest at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley.

Our 15-day Namaste Nepal Luxury Tour starts with a sightseeing tour of various sites in Kathmandu. We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa, all of which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. This tour immerses you in Nepal’s rich heritage right from the start.

Begin your day at Kathmandu Durbar Square, located in the heart of the city. This historic square is a complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples built between the 12th and 18th centuries. Key attractions here include Hanuman Dhoka Palace, once the royal Nepalese residence. This palace complex now houses museums showcasing Nepal’s royal history. Kumari Ghar is home to the Living Goddess, Kumari, a young girl revered as the incarnation of the Hindu goddess Taleju. Kasthamandap, a historic wooden pavilion believed to have been constructed from the timber of a single tree.

We are heading towards our next stop, Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. This ancient religious complex, perched on a hilltop, offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Admire the white dome and the all-seeing eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle. Spin the prayer wheels along the base of the stupa while taking in the serene surroundings.

Next, head to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is not just a religious site but also a cultural hub. The main temple is built in stunning pagoda-style architecture and a golden spire. Observe the open-air cremation ceremonies on the ghats of the Bagmati River, a profound aspect of Hindu tradition.

Conclude your day at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal and a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Walk around the massive mandala, observing the prayer flags fluttering in the breeze and the locals performing their ritual circumnavigations. Visit the surrounding monasteries, which provide insights into Tibetan Buddhist practices and teachings.

As dusk falls, witness the serene evening rituals, including the lighting of butter lamps. Soak into the spiritual vibe of Boudhanath. You can also go to a rooftop restaurant, where you can get a stunning view of the Stupa.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Bhaktapur- Changunarayan & Nagarkot.

After breakfast, we will visit the most beautiful city in Kathmandu valley called Bhaktapur. This day trip offers a perfect mix of history, culture, and scenic beauty.

Bhaktapur is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Bhaktapur Durbar Square, explore the ancient palaces, temples, and the famous 55-Window Palace. Visit the Pottery Market and try your hand at pottery.  Admire the intricately carved Peacock Window, one of the finest examples of woodcarving in Nepal. Visit Nepal’s tallest pagoda, Nyatapola Temple, and Admire this intricate wood carving of the Peacock Window.

Next, drive approximately 5 km from Bhaktapur to the Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley, dating back to 323 AD. This site is a testament to the artistic and architectural prowess of the Lichhavi dynasty. Wander around the temple, which features beautifully carved statues, stone inscriptions, and wooden sculptures. The area around the temple serves as an open museum, displaying a variety of historical artifacts, courtyards, and remnants from the Lichhavi period, offering deep insights into Nepal’s early history and culture.

After exploring Changu Narayan Temple, we will hike for two hours from Changu Narayan to Nagarkot. This relatively easy hike takes you through picturesque landscapes, lush forests, and charming villages, with spectacular views of the Himalayan mountain ranges along the way. Arrive in Nagarkot, a popular hill station known for its stunning sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. Check into your accommodation and relax for the evening.

Day 04: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel.

Wake up early and hike to the top of the hill in Nagarkot to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. Return to your hotel for a hearty breakfast. Then, we will head towards our next destination, Dhulikhel. Start your hike from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel, passing through beautiful paddy fields and traditional Brahmin/Chettri villages. Enjoy the serene countryside and the opportunity to observe local village life up close.

We will stay overnight in Dhulikhel, a town known for its scenic beauty and panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Day 5: Dhulikhel excursion to Namo Buddha and back to Dhulikhel

After enjoying breakfast in Dhulikhel, we will start on a scenic hike from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha. The trail takes you through lush orange farms, terraced paddy fields, and beautiful landscapes. Upon reaching Namobuddha, a spiritual site and significant place in Buddhist history. Namoboudha is known for its monasteries, temples, and legends associated with Buddha.

Visit the various monasteries and temples and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Learn about the legend of the compassionate prince, a story that adds to Namobuddha’s mystique.

After exploring Namo Buddha we will hike back to Dhulikhel, enjoying the serene landscapes and rural scenery.

Spend the evening at leisure, exploring more of Dhulikhel or simply relaxing at your accommodation.

 Day 06:  Drive from Dhulikhel to Bandipur (175 km), 6 hours.

On day six of our Namaste Nepal Luxury Tour, our itinerary will take us to Bandipur. After breakfast, we will drive to Bandipur. It is a 165 km drive through ridges alongside the Trishuli River, with spectacular views of mountains in between. Bandipur is part of an ancient Tibetan trade route that once used to be a vibrant route. Nowadays, it is a popular tourist destination where visitors can get a glimpse of ancient towns where the merchants stopped.

Overnight in Bandipur.

 

Day 07:  Drive from Bandipur to Pokhara (75 km), 2 hours.

After breakfast at Bandipur, we will drive to Pokhara, which is 75 km away and takes 2 hours. The journey offers impressive mountain landscapes and picturesque views of peaceful villages along the way. Upon arrival in Pokhara, marvel at the stunning view of Lake Fewa. The city is renowned for its serene lake and the close-up panorama of the Annapurna Mountain Range.

Enjoy the spectacular sights of the Annapurna massif, with its snow-capped peaks providing a breathtaking backdrop.

Spend your afternoon exploring Pokhara. Consider activities such as boating and strolling in Lakeside. Relax at your hotel or explore more of Pokhara’s charming Lakeside area.

Day 08: Different activities in Pokhara.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel to energize yourself for the activities ahead. We will head to Fewa Lake for a peaceful one-hour boat ride. Enjoy the scenic beauty surrounding the lake and the reflection of the Annapurna Himalayan Range in the clear waters.

After enjoying boating, we will hike to Peace Pagoda, a  45-minute hike with a moderate ascent offering stunning panoramic views of Pokhara and the Annapurna Himalaya Range. We will spend time exploring the Peace Pagoda, taking in the tranquility and spiritual ambiance.

Then, we will take a one-hour walk to the top of the mountain to reach the Shiva Statue. Enjoy the scenic beauty and serenity along the way. We will explore Shiva Shrine, learn about its religious and cultural significance, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna Himalayan Range.

We will drive back to Pokhara, enjoying the landscapes along the way. On the way back, we will stop at Devi’s Falls to explore the waterfall and the surrounding area.

Return to your hotel and relax after a day of exploration. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

 

 

Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Lumbini (200km), 5-6 hours.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Lumbini, traveling through scenic ridges, charming villages, and terraced farms before reaching the flatlands of the Terai region. As we drive into Terai, you’ll notice the diverse ethnic communities, each with its own customs, languages, and lifestyles. It’s fascinating to see how climate and geography can influence the cultures of people living just a few kilometers apart. This drive offers an authentic glimpse into the varied communities of Nepal’s countryside. We’ll spend the night in Lumbini.

 

 

Day 10: Sightseeing in Lumbini.

Today, we have a full-day sightseeing program in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. We will visit Lumbini Garden, where many countries have built monasteries and stupas in their own unique architectural manner. Each monastery has monks from their respective countries. Amidst this massif of monasteries and stupas is the Mayadevi Temple, which has the archaeological remnants of the place where Lord Buddha was born.

In the afternoon, we will visit one of the local villages. Overnight in Lumbini.

 

Day 11: Drive from Lumbini to Chitwan National Park (145km), 4 hours.

After soaking into Lumbini’s divine vibe, it is time for some exciting adventure. We will proceed to our next destination, Chitwan National Park.

After breakfast, we drive to Chitwan National Park for 4 hours and then transfer to the Jungle Lodge. After lunch, Jungle safari activities will start, followed by overnight in Chitwan.

 

 

Day 12: In Chitwan with different activities.

Our adventurous activities will start in Chitwan National Park with an elephant back safari, where you can observe wildlife up close as you ride through the jungle. Enjoy the unique experience of bathing with elephants in the river.

Visit the Elephant Breeding Center to learn about elephant conservation efforts and see baby elephants. After that, we will take a peaceful canoe trip along the river, spotting aquatic life and different species of birds. Then, embark on a guided jungle walk, exploring the diverse flora and fauna of Chitwan National Park. We will also do some cultural exploration. Explore a local village to experience the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Tharu community.

Ending the day with a bird-watching session, spotting various bird species in their natural habitat. Overnight stay in Chitwan, reflecting on a day full of adventure and cultural experiences.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu (165 km), 5-6 hours.

On day 13 of our Luxury Nepal Tour, we will drive back to Kathmandu, passing impressive landscapes and scenic views all along the way. After 5-6 hours of a drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

 

 

 

Day 14: Half dfay sightseeing tour to Patan.

After breakfast, we will head out for a half-day tour of Patan, also known as Lalitpur. This is one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore the historic Patan Durbar Square, filled with ancient palaces, temples, and courtyards.  The highlight of the sightseeing tour in Patan will be a visit to the stunning Golden Temple, a renowned Buddhist monastery. The Mahaboudha Temple, also known as the Thousand Buddha Temple, is famous for its intricate terracotta work. And the five-story Kumbeshwar Temple, Nepal’s second-highest pagoda.

We will  Return to Kathmandu in the afternoon and enjoy free time. In the afternoon, you can shop or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel.

Day 15: Final Departure.

Finally, our Namaste Nepal Luxury Tour will end. We will transfer you to the airport according to your flight time.
