This 13-day journey not only involves nature but also the cultural and historical exploration of Kathmandu Valley, visiting UNESCO-listed world heritage sites. Diving into history and getting to know about Nepal’s unique culture and people. Also includes a four-day trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill.
This adventurous and educational trek is specially crafted for students and includes gentle treks, allowing them to explore the beautiful landscapes at their own pace. Students will get to experience local culture through exchange programs and hands-on community service, helping to develop lasting bonds and a deep understanding of the places they visit. Environment awareness is another important highlight of this program, encouraging students to connect with nature and learn about environmental conservation.
Highlights of the trip include a four-day trek to the serene Ghorepani Poon Hill, where students can marvel at panoramic mountain views and cultural explorations in the historic Kathmandu Valley. We offer a flexible package that can be customized to meet the unique needs and interests of each school or student group, ensuring a personalized and impactful journey that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Upon arrival, a representative from Amazing Himalaya Trekking will receive you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Hotel check in, and after Lunch or Dinner have an orientation program. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa, which are all UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Durbar Squares are a conglomerate of ancient courtyards, palaces, and temples that give glimpses of the royal life in ancient Nepal. Here, you can also explore traditional Nepali architecture.
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it stands as a stunning example of religious architecture on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is on top of a hill and has historical significance associated with the foundation of Kathmandu Valley.
Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. It is one of the popular tourist destinations of Kathmandu. You can enjoy the beautiful view of Boudhanath Stupa from rooftop cafes and eat local Tibetan food.
After a full day of exploring Kathmandu, we will rest overnight, getting ready for an adventurous journey ahead.
After breakfast, we drive to Chitwan National Park, which is 165 km away from Kathmandu, which takes us around 5 hours to reach. You will be transferred to the Jungle Lodge in Chitwan.
After lunch, Jungle safari activities in Chitwan will start. Be ready to encounter different wildlife on the way to the Jungle. Overnight at Chitwan
Day 4 to 6 will be quite a busy and productive one. Engaging in Project Work in the school or community is a meaningful way to contribute to the local area. Whether it’s painting classrooms, making necessary repairs, or participating in construction work, these activities can have a positive impact on the community and school infrastructure.
Engaging in these kinds of activities will help you get to know the community, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of the local way of life and make a positive impact on their lives.
On the seventh day of the school/community service project with the Ghorepani Trek, we will have activities involving elephants. You will learn about these magnificent creatures and participate in making their food, which includes a special treat known as “kuchi.” After finishing the rest of the safari or project activities, we will have breakfast. Then, we will head toward our next destination, Pokhara.
The distance between Chitwan and Pokhara is around 145 kilometers, which takes us 4 to 5 hours. On the way, we will pass by impressive mountain landscapes and beautiful villages. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will have a closer view of the mountain panorama of the Annapurna massif. This is the spot where numerous hiking trails begin in the Annapurna region.

After early morning breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul, which will take around one hour; your trek will officially kick off here. Starting from The Modi Khola valley, we will pass by Sauly Bazar. We will have lunch on the way to Ghandruk. Post-lunch, we will continue our trek to Ghandruk, which will take about 5 to 6 hours of hiking to Nayapul. This beautiful Gurung village offers stunning mountain views and a chance to experience the local Gurung culture.

Starting our day with breakfast, then we will visit the Gurung Museum and monastery. You can get a panoramic Mountain view from the monastery. On the way, we will pass the forest bloomed by Rhododendrons; we will stop at a spot called Bhaisi Kharka for lunch. After lunch, we’ll continue with a 1.5-hour tour through the dense jungle. This area is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views of Fishtail Mountain, locally known as “Machhapuchhare.” The day will conclude with an overnight stay at a trekkers’ lodge.
After breakfast, we’ll start with a half-hour trek downhill to the gorge, followed by an hour’s uphill climb to Banthati, where your hotel is located. From there, we’ll continue trekking along the gorge until we reach Deurali, where we’ll stop for lunch. After lunch, there will be a short uphill climb before descending to Ghorepani, passing through a lush forest of oak and rhododendrons. We’ll spend the night at a trekkers’ lodge in Ghorepani.
We will start our day early today to witness the sunrise from Poon Hill, the highlight of our Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. After the one-hour uphill climb to the famous Poon Hill, which lies at an elevation of 3210 meters, enjoy a mesmerizing sunrise. Poon Hill is one of the most renowned and breathtaking panorama viewpoints in Nepal. From this viewpoint, we can see the Dhaulagiri range to the Manaslu range, including the famous Mountain peak called Machhapuchhre “Fishtail.”
After witnessing the awesome view, we will return to our hotel for breakfast and proceed towards our next destination, Nagythali, Banthati, and Ullari, a beautiful and scenic mountain village. We will have lunch in Ullari and downhill climb to Tikhedhunga, a bank side of Burundi Khola. Finally, drive back to Pokhara. You will then be transferred to the hotel. Our trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill officially ends today. Tomorrow, you will be back in Kathmandu.
Overnight in Pokhara.
We will take a morning flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will transfer for a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, a beautiful city in the Kathmandu valley.
Bhaktapur is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Here, you can see Durbar Square, the pottery market, the famous peacock window, and the five-story Nyatapola Temple, Nepal’s highest pagoda and handmade paper factory.
Bhaktapur is renowned for its grand heritage and well-preserved cultural traditions, evident in its stunning architecture like the Nyatapola Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The narrow alley of Bhaktapur creates a lively atmosphere that showcases traditional Nepali culture and crafts. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
As per your flight schedule, you can spend half a day sightseeing around the valley or do some last-minute shopping. Then, we will drop you off at the airport and bid you farewell.
